A colourful sight

Just passed by a street, Heard a lady calling out something, Turned around to look at her, To see a colourful sight, Attached on a big wood stand, So many paper pinwheels spinning with the calm air, How could I just pass by, without noticing this beautiful space? From a small spot I see someone peeking out, With one kid on her shoulders and one holding her hand, The lady sits between those handmade pinwheels and smiles, What a sight to behold, Her smile made those colours dim, Her eyes so bright, sunshine would hide, She handed over one red windmill to her daughter holding her hand, She brought it upto me, I asked for each one of the different colours, She smiled more widely, Mesmerized I was, Her simplicity and resilience stood out for me, How is that some people smile in their darkest times, And some, so engulfed in their problems, Forget to see the magnificent sights.
